Implemented project - Nicaragua

Rancho Santana, nestled along the picturesque Pacific coastline of Nicaragua, is celebrated for its stunning landscapes and pristine beaches. While the area attracts numerous tourists, it struggles with significant water scarcity that affects both local residents and the tourism industry. In response, Boreal Light GmbH has installed the Winture Planet Cube, a state-of-the-art solar-powered water desalination system that taps into the existing solar farm infrastructure at the resort.

This innovative system has the capacity to produce 24 cubic meters of clean drinking water per hour, efficiently transforming saline and contaminated water sources into potable water. Its design capitalizes on the advanced solar desalination technology, allowing it to operate seamlessly with the solar farm, ensuring a sustainable and reliable water supply without reliance on traditional power sources.

This project stands as Boreal Light GmbH’s largest installation in Latin America, exemplifying the scalability and commercial applicability of their technology.
