A unique research application developed with Fraunhofer-Institut at Agrico Qatar facilities

In collaboration with Fraunhofer-Institut for Solare Energiesysteme ISE, Agrico Qatar has installed an advanced solar water desalination system at their facilities near Doha, Qatar. This system, developed by Fraunhofer ISE, provides permeate water for a 20-hectare farm, which produces vegetables, fish, and shrimp for groceries nationwide.

This approach ensures a reliable water supply and supports sustainable agriculture, showcasing the transformative power of innovative technologies. The project's impacts serve as a model for similar applications in Qatar and neighboring countries, highlighting the benefits of integrating solar desalination into industrial planning. Agrico Qatar has become a national role model and is set to be a regional and global symbol of sustainable farming.
