Implemented project – Chengoni WaterKiosk®

Chengoni is a village in Kwale County, Kenya. The village boarders Samburu. The main economic activity for the locals is burning charcoal and farming livestock for survival. With climate change and drought, residents suffered, their animals dying due to lack of water and pasture. The available water sources are far and not safe.

Chengoni  WaterKiosk produces up to 20,000 liters of fresh drinking water in a day, powered by 9.3kW of solar. Now the residents can attend to other chores because of the availability of drinking water all the day long.
