Affordable potable water in the Village -Burani WaterKiosk®
Burani is a locality in Kwale County, Kenya. Clean and hygiene water is a
rare commodity in the region. The community depends mostly on shallow
wells for their household chores and livestock. School going kids are left
with the responsibility of fetching water which affects their performance
at school.
WaterKiosk is offering to locals up to 20,000 liter of hygiene drinking
water per day. The raw water source is coming from a borehole, badly
contaminated with seawater. School going kids have unlimited access to
drinking water. 10kw of solar array is powering the entire system and its
operation. In addition, locals are charging their mobile phones from the
WaterKiosk
