Potable water in the village - Marigat WaterKiosk®

Marigat is a fast-growing town located in the lowlands of Baringo County. Water scarcity in Marigat is evident and the water demand has been increasing for both human and animal needs. In the area, there is plenty of water during rainy season most of which go to waste and frequently causes havoc due to lack of appropriate harvesting technologies.

Marigat Waterkiosk was installed to curb the challenges the residents faced during the dry seasons. The system produces up to 20,000 liters of fresh drinking water in a day, powered by 9.3kW of solar. Now the residents can attend to other chores before of the availability of drinking water all the day long.
