Potable water in the village - Mwasafu
Mwasafu is a small village near the fertile Taita hills. Mwasafu has a hot and semi-arid climate throughout the year. The residents depend on river water. During the dry season, the river gets dry making the residents spend a lot of time in search of water.
In their mission to curb the inconveniences boreholes are dug but are they are saline making it unsafe for consumption. A 20,000 liters per day Waterkiosk powered by 9.3kW of solar array for the community to access fresh hygiene water at their comfort throughout the year.
